Singapore, 11 August 2020 – Due to COVID-19, the 9th Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) has been postponed and will be held from 20–24 June 2021 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The conference will gather stakeholders from the global water industry to share best practices, showcase the latest technologies and grow business opportunities. After launching the Call for Papers in May 2019, the committee received over 500 papers from 54 countries.
As a result of the rescheduling, the committee has decided that all accepted papers would be carried forward to the Water Convention in 2021. They are also launching a mini Call for Papers to solicit for more high-quality papers on the following topics:
- Advances in water supply network management
- Asian regional solutions for water treatment processes
- Digital solutions and artificial intelligence for water processes
- Water management in a pandemic
- Water reuse
- Cities of the future
Prospective authors must submit abstracts for either oral or poster presentation by 19 August 2020 to the SIWW portal.
“We hope that the discussions and presentations at Water Convention 2021 will continue to spur conversation and cooperation amongst different stakeholders as we pursue a common goal to build a better and more resilient world,” said Harry Seah, Deputy Chief Executive, PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency.
