Sustainable financing is getting a boost in the real estate and infrastructure sectors in ASEAN and other Asian markets.
The Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited (AEC Group) and Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (SCBHK) have formalised this commitment through a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing.
The collaboration, which aims to foster innovative environmental solutions as well as green building certifications towards carbon neutrality, will aid the bank’s clientele through the provision of the following:
- complimentary sustainability, climate change, carbon neutrality feasibility study and technical support services for applications of sustainable financing;
- privileged fee for consultancy services to facilitate compliance with related reporting and monitoring obligations; and
- awareness workshops to be conducted in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, among other countries.
