Sengkang means a flourishing port in Chinese. This and the site’s history of being a rubber plantation inspire the cladding and pavement design, and the façade panelling of the multi-level mixed development. This project will be integrated with the existing Buangkok MRT Station and bus interchange through a covered walkway and links, as well as with various social amenities.
CONSTRUCTED WITH PPVC
The residential portion of the development adopts prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC) method, with complete pre-installed concealed mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and sanitary services. All walls and penetration openings are also pre-designed and pre-route prior to installation on-site. Certain bathrooms use pre-fabricated bathroom units (PBUs), with penetrations sealed at the manufacturer’s as well. These applications of prefabricated materials can minimise both resources needed for construction and material wastage.
