- An exhibition to cover 26,000 square metres of space, with anticipated participation by 700 exhibitors across 1,500 booths and 40,000 visitors from 100 countries;
- A three-day DATUM conference; and
- ASEAN–China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing (ACMROCH) 2024 as a concurrent event.
This year’s programme seeks to present the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) solutions towards modernisation and sustainability, in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Overall, it will feature intelligent design software, automated construction techniques and eco-friendly building materials, among other categories.
One of the key installations will be crafted entirely out of bamboo—a nod to vernacular technologies and local heritage—to serve as an awards gallery. Besides, six international pavilions with innovations from Austria, China, Germany, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan respectively have been slated to enhance the networking hub.
A series of DATUM conferences—comprising DATUM:KL, DATUM:GREEN and DATUM+PLUS—will anchor the knowledge-sharing sessions with three themes: Space, Time and Meaning. Its diverse lineup of experts will offer insights into the purpose, relevance and human aspect of global case studies. Meanwhile, guest speakers at The Forum @ PAM Pavilion; Focus Forum; Biz Talk; and ARCASIA Committee on Young Architects (ACYA) Youth Talk are expected to explore related topics.
The ACMROCH 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, will see a gathering of ministers representing ASEAN countries and China, with a collective aim of fostering regional progress through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Other activities will include the inaugural Asian Young Architects Programme to nurture young talents and the sixth instalment of ARCHITALENT, a design competition for students.
Construction Plus Asia is delighted to be a media partner once again of the long-running ARCHIDEX, for which we have been supporting these past years. We look forward to meeting our readers throughout this largest-ever event at our booth.
ARCHIDEX is jointly organised by the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and the C.I.S Network in conjunction with the annual Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF). For details, please refer to the event website. —Construction+ Online
