Malaysia’s first curated interior design exhibition, REKA Interiors Exhibition (RiX), returns for the third year this 17-20 October.
Themed ‘Bridging Designs to Businesses’, RiX is part of the REKA Design Week 2019 (RDW). It will also run concurrently with the Home Design and Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The exhibition, which targets some 7,500 industry visitors this year, aims to showcase the growing interior design industry and promote design excellence of local and international designers. It will feature a dynamic line-up of speakers, forums on current interior design trends, and interior designs curated by seven renowned Malaysian designers and a chief creative director. Some of the highlights include: RiX 20×20, RiX Talks, RiX Teh Tarik Sessions, Young Designers’ Forum and Design Installation Xchange, as well as REKA Conference and REKA Interior Design Awards (RIDA).
The exhibition is a collaboration between C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd and MIID REKA Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID).
“The focus of RiX this year is to bridge designs to businesses, and we believe that this strong synergy between RIDA and the REKA Conference this year will help elevate our efforts in showcasing fresh ideas and inspirations for both renowned and emerging designers,” said MIID Deputy President Ooi Boon Seong at the media preview on 5 August 2019.
