MetaHome, a mixed-reality metaverse micro-housing (unbuilt) prototype, is proposed within the densely populated urban area of Georgetown as a short-term yet immediate solution to the scarcity of land and surging property prices in Penang. With metaverse-integrated technologies, the physical limitation of land can be compensated as even the smallest unit can possess infinite possibilities.
ON-LINE COMPONENT: THE VIRTUAL WORLD
MetaHome comprises diverse digital amenities such as augmented reality LED façade; NFT plaza; VR conference room; E-gym; and De-Fi Arena where digital currency and cryptocurrency transactions take place.
ON-LAND COMPONENT: THE PHYSICAL WORLD
Utilising blockchain technology, residents are given the flexibility to customise and design their own modular units within the established construction grid.
