Kuala Lumpur, 13 October 2020 – Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) will be holding a conference with the theme HR Management in the Construction Industry – Moving to a New Normal on Wednesday, 11 November 2020, at the Classic Ballroom, Holiday Villa, Subang.
The conference will focus on the Malaysian government’s latest standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and current issues related to the management of human resources in the construction industry, as well as to enhance the awareness on the preventive action to deal with the COVID-19. It aims to create a platform where decision-makers can interact with the industry players to find a win-win solution.
Discussion topics include:
- Employees’ minimum standard of housing, accommodation and amenities
- Guidelines on temporary workers’ accommodation at construction sites
- Transfer of employers
- Employment of foreign workers
- Employment insurance system
Founded in 1954 by the late Tan Sri Dato’ Low Yat, MBAM seeks to improve the development and advancement of the construction industry. Its members include specialist sub-contractors, building material suppliers, manufacturers, trading companies and insurance brokers.
