Kuala Lumpur, 12 October 2020 – The 11th IGEM will be held on a virtual platform, featuring exhibitions, business matching and conferences, with the following details:
- Dates: 19 to 23 October 2020
- Expected number of exhibitors: 250 booths from 17 countries
- Expected number of audience: 10,000
The theme is Energising Sustainability through Green technologies to mitigate climate change impacts. Topics of discussion include urbanisation (as 70 per cent of world population will living in cities by 2050), river pollution, plastic waste, clean air, greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency.
IGEM is a platform for solution providers and Green energy businesses to tap into the expanding ASEAN market by showcasing the latest innovations to policymakers, government organisations, investors and the mass market.
The event is organised by the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA); co-organised with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre; as well as in partnership with Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI), Malaysia Green Building Council and British High Commission.
