BCI Asia Awards Top 10 Malaysia Architect 2021
Sitting on a high-altitude area, the project uses pre-tensioned structure and aluminium formwork to speed up the progress. To tackle weathering of the elements in high altitude, customised anti-fungus paint is selected, along with zinc-alum door frames and hot-dipped galvanised steel structures with recoatable PU [polyurethane] paint.
SKY-HIGH BUILDING
The engineers carried out a wind tunnel test to design glazing that caters for any hotspots. The test also provides the necessary design pressure measurements for the dynamic analysis and control of tall buildings. Overlaid tower crane must be established in a cascaded manner due to the congested site. Alternatively, a luffing crane is considered due to its flexibility in diameter as an alternative to the tower crane plan. Additional radiators are provided to prevent internal condensation that could result in machine malfunction.
