Bukit Jalil, 23 April 2021 – Pavilion Bukit Jalil today opened a new flyover, directly linking Bukit Jalil City (Jalan 13/155C) to Puchong via the Bukit Jalil Highway. The one-way 300-metre flyover began construction in 2018 and was completed six months ahead of schedule to benefit the community with greater accessibility. The flyover will relieve 25 per cent of traffic coming from Bukit Jalil Highway during peak hours.
Present at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Dato’ Steven Tan, Director of Infrastructure Planning Department of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by Dato’ Lee Whay Hoong, Director of Regal Path Sdn Bhd; Dato’Abdul Wahab Khalil, Adviser to Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd; Hong Lay Chuan, Executive Director of Malton; and Robert Spinks, Project Director (Development) of Malton.
The overall upgrades to the infrastructure surrounding Bukit Jalil City’s masterplan will make a better linkage to the whole of Klang Valley. To date, alongside the new flyover, the masterplan includes the 100-feet road, widening of roads to six lanes, new U-turns, and an underpass and tunnel access.
The catchment population of 1.9 million in and around Bukit Jalil will also enjoy better foot-traffic accessibility with four upcoming pedestrian link bridges expected to be completed in June 2021. These link bridges will directly improve pedestrian accessibility to the park and the business centre.
