When crafting the 118-square-metre Vista Paradiso apartment, COMODO Interior & Furniture Design’s key focus was on increasing the functionality of the original floor plan structure.
One significant change was to integrate the study room into the master bedroom. The designer demolished the original study room wall to give the bedroom a more spacious feel. Wardrobe cabinets were fitted in the study area, for additional valuable storage space.
To maximise the limited space in the kitchen, the designer embedded most of the kitchen appliances into the cabinets. A sliding table was inserted between the oven and microwave oven, which is very useful for putting extra dishes or desserts. A sliding glass door between the kitchen and the entrance area was used to enhance light penetration and create a larger space perception. Both kitchen and entrance area also share the same flooring for a sense of continuity.
The overall design has minimalistic elements. For example, the living room and dining room are simply separated by contrasting colours that create an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
