Solar photovoltaic facilities with a total system capacity of approximately 40 kilowatts were installed in four local primary schools, following a handover ceremony held on 23 March 2024. Capable of supplying about 10 kilowatts of power to the respective institutions, they were a donation from AEON Environmental Foundation (AEF).
An initiative to enhance environmental education, the installations are linked to display screens, enabling students to monitor power generation status in real time.
The recipients are Kowloon Bay St. John The Baptist Catholic Primary School; Tai Kok Tsui Catholic Primary School (Hoi Fan Road); Aberdeen St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School; and Alliance Primary School, Whampoa. Similar donations were made by AEF to 56 schools in Malaysia, Vietnam, China and Japan since 2009. —Construction+ Online
