In support of the Government’s efforts to transform Kowloon East into the city’s second central business district (CBD), some industrial buildings have been refurbished to prolong the lifespan and utility of existing built structures.
Sino Group has been doing so in Kwun Tong since the start of 2018. To date, the revitalisation of Pan Asia Centre, Fullerton Centre and Remington Centre have been completed while that of the Westin Centre is set for completion next year—these are out of 13 properties under the developer’s leasing portfolio in Kowloon East.

According to Bella Chhoa, Director of Asset Management of Sino Group, the refurbished structures feature more flexibility to accommodate a wider range of tenants, particularly start-ups, besides fostering entrepreneurial collaborations. To this end, renovation packages are being offered to bring in tenants from the food and beverage, healthcare and leisure sectors to the hub. —Construction+ Online
