A new Professional Diploma in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) programme, which is the first Qualifications Framework[1] Level 4 Professional Diploma in MiC, will be available to nurture talents for smart construction.
Jointly developed by the Engineering Discipline of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), a VTC member institution, and Gammon Construction Limited, the programme covers new technologies and management about MiC and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA). To move with the digital era, the programme focuses on the latest application of MiC projects and provides knowledge of utilising a range of emerging technologies.
Students could also acquire a better understanding of the safety standards and installation requirements of MiC through site visits. Upon completion of the programme, they can further articulate to a related programme for career and academic progression.

The programme will start in mid-October 2022. Students can apply for the Vplus Subsidy Scheme (Vplus Engineering) where eligible applicants will be subsidised for 60 per cent of the tuition fee. —Construction+ Online
