Located in the heart of the Gubei International Residence area, One Park Shanghai is positioned as a luxury residence that also serves as an office for business.
Residential and business units are essentially different in ambience and function, hence, the design team of Steve Leung Designers had to find a way to accommodate both needs.
The overall look is contemporary classic, with the use of quality imported leather, fabric and wallpaper. Bronze stainless-steel skirting are widely used throughout the apartment, cohering with different palettes of brown to create a sense of understated sumptuousness.
To capitalise on the apartment’s central location, which overlooks the open and spacious adjacent garden with the cityscape in the background, floor-to-ceiling windows are used in most spaces, including the living room and all the bedrooms, to bring in ample sunlight and the expansive views.
The foyer is paved in grey Portuguese marble, coupled with minimalistic furnishing and cabinets with hand-woven cream-coloured leather finishes. One feature to note is the living space, which is subtly divided into two zones by a woven leather bench. This allows flexibility in entertaining house guests and business visitors.
As the owner is likely to work from home, the study room is an integral part in the apartment. The study is fully functional, without compromising the apartment’s contemporary classic style. The dark hues of the wooden furnishings match perfectly with the dark brown wooden floors.
In the master bedroom, the beige upholstered wall behind the bed, featuring a geometric design with a bronze stainless-steel frame, combines with the opposite grey upholstered TV wall to offer a sense of cosiness. The two roomy his-and-hers walk-in closets allow a private moment when dressing up. The en-suite bathroom, equipped with high-end bathroom fittings, is both chic and elegant. The double washbasins are complemented by mirrors with a brown upholstered frame and wire glass.
In Bedroom 1, the modern space is filled with a playful charm through a dark brown undulating upholstered feature wall, with a coloured mirror on one side. Its en-suite bathroom shares a similar aesthetic, featuring grey marble walls and floors, mirror cabinet with bronze stainless-steel finishes, and a black marble washbasin cabinet.
The other dark brown and grey hues with a tactile carpet and bedding, while Bedroom 3 exudes a classic elegance with a dark brown-themed wall behind the bed.
