Luxurious Sophistication

Merit: Residential | Hong Kong | BCI Interior Design Awards 2024

Built on the homeowner’s fondness for stone materials, this project is a revamp that opted for marble to line the duplex, together with other materials such as wood, metal, glass, etc. The design intent behind the mosaic-like expression of materiality was to add a sense of sophistication to the colour and textual dimensions of the interior, enhancing the overall user experience for the residents.

Veined marble in black and white lined the interior

DARK AND LIGHT HUES AT PLAY
On the floors, white marble with grey-black veins paved the entrance hall and open wardrobe, while dark wooden boards laid in a diagonal pattern dominate the living room, dining area and a bedroom. The curtail steps of the staircase, which had been reconfigured to orientate towards the foyer, were set in black marble, against the white flooring of the same rock.

Glass partitions were installed to help enhance visual connectivity

The usage of steel frames with a rose-gold tint and brown leather furnishings enriches the colour composition. Meanwhile, the installation of glass partitions helps to visually connect the layout.
