Gone are the days when offices were typically cubicle, surrounded by white walls and lit by white fluorescent lights. In this office created for an IT company, futuristic and minimalist elements were put into the interior to highlight and foster the business’s innovative spirit.

The design was mainly inspired by the business nature of the client and by the icon of neo-futurism, Zaha Hadid. The inspiration can be reflected by the streamlined structure of the entire office. There is no angle from the floor to the ceiling as well as walls, and sleek lines connect the entire space.

The exposed ceiling is painted black, and a white irregular-shaped suspended ceiling was added that links to the walls. Small spotlights were strategically placed onto the false ceiling to provide focused lighting.

STORAGE AND PARTITIONS
The office space has been divided into two main zones: the open working space and the meeting area. These spaces are divided by a tinted glass partition to allow natural light to come through, making the whole office look more spacious. Veneer, which is relatively soft and flexible, was used for the partition’s structure frame to achieve a streamlined form. To match the overall design, a large curvaceous table was custom made for the meeting room.

Most of the company’s employees use desktop computers with big screens; hence, large desks were created to fit their requirements. In addition, the office has a cleverly concealed restroom at the corner.

The client did not request for a lot of storage but wanted more activity space instead. To keep the office uncluttered while maximising the floor area for seating and activity use, hidden cabinets were built in the false ceiling and walls.
