The Hong Kong Land Registry released land register statistics for October 2019 on Monday, 4 November 2019. The statistics is made available to members of the public to prevent secret and fraudulent conveyances, providing means whereby the titles to real and immovable property may be easily traced and ascertained.
The number of sale and purchase agreements for all buildings received for registration in October was 15,075 units, increasing by 24 per cent compared to September 2019.
Compared with September 2019, the sale and purchase agreements in October climbed up to 80.2 per cent on USD65.6 billion. The number of sale and purchase agreements for residential units is rising 16.1 per cent on 4,001, while the total consideration for sale and purchase agreements with respect to residential units increased by 47.1 per cent, in the amount of USD40.7 billion.
On the other hand, the number of searches of land registers made by the public in October was 428,731, going up to 3.9 per cent compared with the past month.
The statistics covered searches made at the counter, through the self-service terminals and via the Integrated Registration Information System Online Services. ― Construction+ Online
