Shanghai Jing’an House Showroom

The two show units at the Shanghai Jing’an House were designed by Shenzhen Qianxun Decorative Art and Design. In line with contemporary fashion trends and design concepts, Unit 115 has a more masculine, eclectic yuppie style, while Unit 135 has a more feminine, artsy Grace Kelly vibe.

To meet the quality of the space, materials were selected based on texture, with wide use of leather. Avant-garde design ideas include modern decorations and artworks, which appeal to the aesthetics of the young.

UNIT 115
The smaller unit, measuring 115 square metres, focuses on an appreciation of beauty in daily life. The design of the unit is inspired by the classic Art Deco style, with attention paid to the layout and functions of the space.

In the living room, there is an extension in lines of the furniture. For example, the straight line collocation between the coffee table and the main sofa creates an extra layer that enlarges the space visually. Shades of grey give a hint of a gentleman’s wind coat, while a stylishly understated chandelier adds character. Classic Italian dining chairs come in contrasting coffee and beige around the dining table, while a human portrait gives a touch of art on the wall.

The master bedroom comes in gentle black, grey and gold tones, with a pixelated effect on the carpet. The soft curtains, hard elements and corners and texture of the furniture all reflect the owner’s attitude towards life: pursuing relaxation and comfort.

The design of the boy’s room started from the ‘little gentleman’ concept, with black, white and grey as the main colours, forming a stable visual tone. An orange headboard and striped lattice blanket reveal the occupant’s passionate and straightforward character.

UNIT 135
This unit, measuring 135 square metres, is designed to reflect the glamorous city-state of Monaco. In this space, the designers combined two kinds of art—interior design and film posters—with their choice of furniture, paintings and colours.

The furniture is made of wood and metal with simple lines, in cool grey, wise khaki, bright Hermes orange and restrained hibiscus purple tones. The dining area is decorated with warm orange, marble, metal, white bone china tableware, as well as exquisite floral embellishments. A bar next to the dining room brings leisure into daily life. Mountain-shaped crystal chandeliers create different space layers for a balanced and elegant dining atmosphere.

The dominant tone of the master bedroom is calm brown and grey, and the furniture texture is a mixture of gold, wood, knitting wool and leather. Matched with an abstract carpet, there is a harmonious sense of depth.

The girl’s room has a splash of elegant hibiscus purple along with post-modern art paintings, expressing the decorous and dignified artistic atmosphere. The boy’s room is bouncing in colour, displaying a curious and open-minded personality. The study has a hint of a yacht’s interior, with an oval-shaped desk, khaki and brown tones and crystal chandeliers, recalling the ocean in Monaco.
