A new administration building for Western Harbour Crossing will be constructed to enhance connectivity and development of the West Kowloon Cultural District. The relocation entails the provision of associated facilities such as car parks and access loop road together with demolition of existing structure at the three-lane tunnel’s Kowloon portal.
Following the signing of a consultancy agreement between WSP and Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) in August, the migration design covers traffic control and surveillance systems; drainage; sewerage; traffic aids; and engineering works whilst minimising impact on the tunnel’s daily traffic. —Construction+ Online
