The Regalia, a private residential property in Yau Ma Tei, has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging-enabling infrastructure for all of its 302 car parking bays with technical support provided by CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power). The property is the largest project yet under the Government’s EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme (EHSS).
By the end of 2022, CLP Power has received more than 500 applications for preliminary assessment on the power supply capacity under the EHSS, which involved a total of around 126,000 parking bays. More car parks at private residential blocks are expected to install EV charging-enabling infrastructure as the demand for green motoring and convenient charging facilities grows.
CLP Power has also launched a new charging programme at The Regalia to provide smart EV chargers for 15 EV owners. It will remote control the charging rate of the chargers and reduce the charging capacity during peak demand hours to encourage car owners to charge in a smarter, more energy efficient way. —Construction+ Online
