Inspired in name by playing cards, the project is located at the heart of Central. Passing through its low-key exterior, the interior space of this executive lounge and club displays a vibrant contrast by mainly using the play of lights, tones and materials to create a sensory experience.
HIGHLIGHTING CONTRAST IN SENSORY EXPERIENCE
The design strategy was inspired by the world of poker games, particularly in the card shuffling process in randomising a deck of cards to bring about an element of change. Analogically, Shuffle’s spatial organisation transforms into different zones to highlight different sensory experiences in an entertainment space.
The contrast transformation starts from the entrance area in response to the vibrant neighbourhood—Shuffle presents a plain white textured façade to differentiate its character from nearby bars and simultaneously to draw attention from passers-by.
