Happiest Home in Happy Valley

The team at Liquid Interiors took a 1,400-squarefoot apartment tucked away in Happy Valley and tailored the home to express a dancer couple’s joie de vivre.

The apartment comprises of a hallway, kitchen, bar and living area, lounge, master bedroom, master en-suite, guest bedroom, guest bathroom, walk-in-wardrobe, balcony and maids’ room.

COLOUR PALETTE
The overall palette was neutral with pops of colour and layers of embellishments to help give the rooms and living area a fun, cheerful style. Clean white walls, light wood flooring and chic contemporary furnishings make the interior simple yet attractive.

The owners, who are from Hong Kong and Italy, asked for a Santorini ambiance for their balcony. Based on this requirement, Greek-pattern ceramic tiles were installed on the balcony floor. The European inspiration is extended to the indoors, with Scandinavian-style furniture, vintage suitcase décor, and a showcase of the owners’ travel photographs and memorabilia.

ENTERTAINING SPACE
The couple also enjoy entertaining friends and family. With this in mind, the designers created an open-plan dining area with a wine bar as the main feature. Flexible furniture were brought in to accommodate different entertaining settings, from intimate dinners to large parties and dancing.

A luxurious walk-in wardrobe—what the designers fondly call ‘Kardashian-style’—can be used not only for storing clothes, but also as a private canapé room during parties. The ambient lighting, mirror cabinets, soft carpet flooring and bar-height island/cabinet make the closet a cosy place to sip wine and unwind.

HEALTH FEATURES
Liquid Team’s signature design is a focus on health and well-being. For this home, the bedrooms and bathrooms feature a purified air system and circadian lighting designed to enhance sleep quality. The owners claim that since they have moved in, their sleep quality as well as previous respiratory symptoms have improved.
