A mixed-use, transit-oriented development that has been designed to adhere to the prerequisites for GreenRE silver certification, this structure of double towers will feature serviced residences; small and flexible office (SOFO) units; as well as retail spaces upon completion.
A bubble deck slab system, comprising of biaxial hollow slabs that decrease structural dead weight, is employed for the car park floors. An application of the industrialised building system (IBS), these precast slabs are cured to specified sizes beforehand to facilitate on-site installation. As for typical floors, an aluminium formwork is selected instead of the traditionally used timber to shorten preparation time.
PRIORITISING CERTIFIED MATERIALS AND LOCAL PRODUCTS
To achieve the GreenRE silver rating, raw materials and finishes with sustainability labelling are opted for, covering low-emissivity glass; aluminium frames; insulated reinforced concrete (RC) flat roof; ceiling boards; low-volatile-organic-compound paints; sealants; and adhesives. To this end, local products are prioritised to minimise carbon footprint of transportation and lead time.
