BuildXpo 2024 will be held from 22 to 24 October 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, aiming to foster innovation and technological advancement in the construction sector. The event is expected to attract over 15,000 trade visitors and feature 500 booths showcasing 200 exhibitors.
Under the theme Envisioning the Future of Construction, BuildXpo 2024 will cover key industry segments and trends, including: –
- Construction Technology;
- Construction Materials;
- Construction Equipment;
- Construction Machinery; and
- Systems & Services.
The exhibition will also feature an Innovation Hub dedicated to highlighting start-ups and emerging technologies that are set to influence the construction landscape. This will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs and innovators to connect with established industry players.
Moreover, there will be a series of technical seminars and product demonstrations during the three-day event, offering attendees insights into the latest industry trends and practical applications of new technologies. These sessions will cover topics such as sustainable construction materials; artificial intelligence in construction management; and the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in building systems.
Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Malaysia’s Minister of Works, emphasised on the exhibition’s significance as a platform for industry professionals to explore innovative solutions that can drive the sector forward. “It aligns with the government’s focus on enhancing infrastructure and sustainable development while highlighting the diverse career opportunities available to young people in construction.”
BuildXpo 2024 is hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).
